Christian exodus is a group of people promoting to have all christian move to south carolina.Get a true majority and change the system and laws back to christian values.Walready have a majority here but fail to get christians to unite. They tend to us secondary reasons to unite.such as black, republican, age, etc. to decide.

I heard of that before. How many people do you have now about?
Problem I see is that I think things are too late. Seems the devil is in control and the end is very near. Our country is falling to pieces at an incredible rate. |

Shalom!
I have been reading the articles on this forum for a few weeks now and am moved to join your "fellowship" of believers who were too long in the sun and are now coming out. I am a Jewish believer and pastor's wife of a home congregation that honors the Sabbath day and has a great love for the Word of G-D. I have three grown up children who love the LORD and live godly lives. I appreciate the passion of those called out ones who have the integrity to study and see just exactly what the WORDS of the WORD say.
Looking forward to the exchange on this forum by those who love HIM,

Howdy Ho!
That's cool that you're Jewish. Maybe you can bring some unique perspectives. Were you raised orthodox? Secular?
What about your pastor husband? What kind of pastor is he, and has he had influence on you or you on him? What brought you to the Messiah?
Interested in getting to know you |

Don't get too excited, dumbrod! It's good to meet you too. You're going to be disappointed in my answer.
My mom was Jewish but my dad wasn't so I did not get too much upbringing in Yiddishkeit. My grandparents were Orthodox, coming to the US from Germany after the first world war. I remember snatches of things from my childhood but nothing theological. My mother did the 'no-no'... marrying out of Judaism, having first rejected the idea of a personal G-d herself.
Then I also married outside Judaism. My husband was raised Brethren in Pennsylvania Dutch country and I met him as a Christian radio missionary in the Caribbean. It started out as interdenominational and now is Baptist. I believed that Yeshua was the Messiah then, prayed the 'sinner's prayer' and all that. The subjects of Trinity, no Sabbath, etc have troubled me all our lives together until a few years ago when I realised that this Messiah was G-D in human flesh. My life changed and now so have our lives in His service.
The past few years I have been learning and studying. Not only the Torah and Hebraic perspective on Scripture but also I've studied Hebrew for several years now and am not fluent by any means but have a working knowledge of how to study and read the Scriptures in the Holy language.
I look forward to participating in this board.

Hehe, no I'm not disappointed. Just wanted to know where you're coming from. I still think it's cool you're jewish
Sounds like you're on a good track. Does your husband agree with your theology and pastor during your home sabbath service? |

My husband never believed the Sabbath was changed, ever. I asked him about this before we even married. In 25 years of marriage he has never preached Sunday as the Sabbath or replacement of Israel. We have always honoured the Sabbath in our home and had a small home congregation for study on Sunday. Yes, I know Sunday is a Roman invention of the ultimate heresy. So does he now.
What has been the challenge to me is that he approaches Sabbath as something that the church was wrong to get away from, and will come back to, but not something that can be forced on other believers. He also has a hard time with some of the things that I love as Jewish observance of Sabbath, while he wants to approach it as a Christian. He allows me to observe in any way I want but he always prefers the English over the Hebrew.
The L-RD is doing a work in our marriage, in our congregation (in which we teach Hebraic roots) and in our individual lives.

Greetings, everyone,
This is my first post on TLITS...this is my second Sabbath kept, and I am learning so much.
I've been a desert wanderer even since accepting Christ 20+ years ago...not keeping to any church for long...but never forgetting who Yahshua was-only keeping a marginal faith.
When I learned that just about everything I believed about this existence was diametrically opposed to the truth: Illuminati, UFOlogy, false christs, our great country corrupt beyond repair, concentration camps and guillotines, red and blue lists, incredible deception and apostasy everywhere, and horrible times looming on the horizon, and the false doctrine of pre-trib rapture--I sat down and prayed to God to lead me in His paths of truth, and to hear His voice, only.
It was when I read the message in Revelation 17:14 and took it as my own goal, '..and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful=Kletos-Eklektos-Pistos--I wanted to be one of these 'called, chosen and faithful' people--I am already a 'peculiar people' , He began leading me into the truth of keeping Sabbath and keeping His commandments.
Since this is a new direction for me, I am still taking baby steps, but I am going in the right direction--to YHWH and to my eternal home.
I am not well versed in the scriptures, since I have spent my time learning of worldly things, but once I get ahold of something I worry it like a dog with a bone until all that can be gleaned from something has been learned--so I expect myself to grow in leaps and bounds.
I hope I can find a group of like-minded believers in my area, although I DON'T like meeting people, I know it would be better for me to fellowship with them, since no one in my family believes in YHWH, and some are even hostile to my faith. Time is short..and this unprofitable servant needs to make good use of what remains of this existence.
I just finished reading 'Too Long in the Sun' and I will be lending it out to a fellow believer at work. I found the book very helpful in affirming my new direction in my faith.
My signature 'Gardening in Babylon' comes from my almost rabid enjoyment of growing things, it is giving me sadness and sorrow that I will have to leave all these creations of my hands in the near future--but when I'm on the 'other side' it will seem like having been a child making mud pies, I know. If you like pretty gardens you might want to visit my 'Tattered Hat Gardens'. http://community.webshots.com/user/razzit2
I hope to learn even more from you folks as time goes on. |

Hello remnant,
My name is Stacie and my husband and I and two teenagers live in Panama City, FL. We originally came from Ft. Lauderdale where we were in the ministry for many years in a non-denominational church. My husband was a teacher/deacon in the church. When we started questioning some unbiblical teachings the church held or my husband refused to teach something that was "unbiblical" in the new foundations class, he was taken aside and "counseled" by several of the pastors in the church. These same pastors have either left the church themselves (church split) or in one case left both the pulpit and his family for another life elsewhere. We were brought to Panama City to experience the wilderness for a time so that Yeshua could break down the old man and rebuild a new one based on His specifications. We have been observing Torah/biblical festivals/Sabbath for about five years now on our own as a family. We sometimes spend Friday nights with other Messianic families in our community but we spend the Sabbath alone with Yeshua. I have picked up the mantel of Jonathan Edwards who devoted his life to researching the origins of biblical holidays and who intended for them to be published for the entire world to see. He was unable to complete the task because of the resources available in his day so I created a website biblicalhistorytimeline.com that does just that and more. When I started gathering and researching the timeline information for the site, which has taken me six years to complete, I noticed horrible trends in the church and you can actually see the apostasy come to fruition via the timeline, as the church falls farther and farther away from the gospel that was once preached.
Like many of you I have come to believe that the church will not be raptured away when it is convenient. Yeshua has given us the sign of His coming (in the sun, moon and stars), our faith will be tested, we will be required to carry extra oil in our lamps and He is calling those who have an ear to hear, out of Babylon, lest we partake of her punishments. Also like many of you who are "studied" Berean’s, I consider myself a watchman and feel a grave responsibility to warn others of the coming judgment though I do so among great opposition.
I feel very blessed to have found this forum and have read just about every post. I look forward to the discussions, debates, admonitions and reproofs that sharpen us, prepare us for the end and bring us closer to the one who gave his life for us....Yeshua our Messiah. |

Wow, 2nd sabbath, that is awesome.
You want to keep a 3rd sabbath? TOMORROW? Tomorrow is Pentecost and is an annual sabbath. It is believed (with biblical support) that the Torah (law) was given from Mt. Sinai on this day. (also note that the Holy Spirit was given on this day, which writes the Torah on our hearts and minds).
Since you have been in the wilderness so long, you now seem to have come to Mt. Sinai to learn about the Torah. It is His will and instruction for our own good. It is a tree of life to those that take hold of it.
Glad to see your eyes have been opened. It is a VERY exciting journey learning truth. I take great delight in it.
Nice gardens btw. I'm a farmer, so I have HUGE gardens, but not much time for home gardens (i've tried, but just can't keep up with nice ones). |

Gbutler,
Welcome. This isn't the fastest moving board around, but we are serious and not just in pretense.
May Father bless your life and your time here.
